During each summer season, children have the opportunity to discover new interests and enhance their creativity. To make this year’s Summer Camp Programs Beaverton more exciting, Art World School has introduced a new Stop Motion Animation class. Young artists can explore the world of animation by creating their own movies using art materials, photography, and storytelling.
Children will learn how animation works and how to create their own films using different materials and creative techniques. This new summer camp activity makes learning fun, interactive, and creative.
New Creative Experience for Young Artists
This new Stop Motion Animation class is perfect for kids who enjoy drawing, playing with LEGO, molding clay, and creating their own stories. Throughout the week, students learn about the animation process through storyboarding, character design, photography, and movie creation.
What Happens During the Week?
Each day introduces a new part of the filmmaking process and allows kids to work on their projects step by step.
Monday focuses on storyboarding, where campers use sketches to plan their animation stories and visualize the materials and movements needed for their films.
Tuesday is dedicated to production design, where students choose materials like clay, LEGO, paper, or yarn to create characters, sets, and other design elements for their animations.
Wednesday focuses on photography, where students complete their designs and begin capturing images by moving their characters and sets step by step to create animation.
Thursday is when campers complete their final animation frames and choose sound effects that match their stories using provided options or their own recordings.
Friday is the final editing day when students combine images, add sound effects and title cards, and enjoy screening their completed animated films.
At the end of the week, every student has their own original stop motion animation film to share.
