What a gem! We've been very pleased with the wonderful after-school program and no-school day program at Art World School. My kindergartner loves the program and hardly wants to leave at the end of the day. Mimi is professional, courteous and responsive, and the teachers are kind, skilled and encouraging.
My 6-year old has been with Mimi's studio for 2 years. She loves Mimi and really enjoying the class. Mimi is very patient with kids. Really recommend!
Our family of 6, kids ages 8 to 14, had a very enjoyable time celebrating one child's birthday here. In two hours, the instructor guided our family through two art projects, both of the child's choosing. One was collaborative the other individual projects. The instructor was well prepared with supplies beforehand, gave good instructions so everyone was engaged, and was positive and helpful. We appreciated the calm atmosphere, too, and periods of silence while everyone concentrated on their projects. Unexpectedly, on our way out, Mimi gifted the birthday girl with an art gift, which I thought was a lovely, thoughtful gesture.
Both of my kids are taking art lessons here. The progress they made are impressive! And the fact that every week they can’t wait to go back to the next lesson says all : they love the teacher, they love the arts they made!
My son has been learning with Ms Mimi for a couple of years. He is eager to go to the class every week and has learned many different art techniques throught the years. Ms Mimi is very patient and has the magic to work with kids.

My 5 year old just started art school. I could not have asked for a better teacher. Mimi is an experienced artist and art teacher. She is very patient and helps kids explore at their own pace.
My kid start going to Art world school since 2019. He has a little bit ADHD, hard to sit still and keep focus. After 3 years learning drawing, he has good observation skill and keep focus, sit for full hour in drawing. I m very impressed about how Teacher Mimi delicate in her teaching. I send my 2nd kid to her school this Summer.
My daughter studied with Ms. Mini before we move to Tucson. She is a such wonderful teacher and very patient. My daughter misses you so much. Highly recommend👍!
I have been attending for 11-12 years, my sister has been here for 5. We both have progressed drastically from taking lessons here and highly recommend it to aspiring artists.
My brother Arthur is 9 years old and I am 12. We have been here for quite some time and have made a lot of progress in getting better at art. I highly recommend this to everyone who wants to improve their art ability.
My 5-year old daughter routinely goes to weekend morning group art classes and occasionally no-school day camps, and she enjoys them! The instructors are knowledgeable and have good ability to keep the kids interest and maintain a peaceful and educational environment. The online scheduling system is easy to use. I love the fact that there are plenty of time options to choose from when I need to take a short break from my kid lol....I just sign her up for art classes. It's a win-win!
Mimi is an excellent art teacher! My son has taken classes with her for the past several years, and it is wonderful to see how he has grown as an artist.
My 7 year old started attending the summer camp / spring camp at Art World School from 2 years ago and has been enjoying it so much. She brings home multiple art projects everyday, from oil paintings, water color, to crafts like bracelet or clays. Every week there is a theme and kids get to exposed to different kind of arts. The instructors are very professional and friendly. The full day camp runs from 9-6 which is very friendly to working parents. Highly recommended to school age kids who love arts!

First of all, congratulations on the opening of Mimi's new school. Mimi is a very professional and friendly teacher. My daughter likes Mimi's classes very much.I really enjoy those drawings she brought home, they are colorful and full of imagination.
The teachers care about art and are genuinely interested in helping students.
My daughter had enrolled in the school and learned drawing with Jiao Ying for 4 years. She is really a caring, patient, encouraging and inspiring teacher. My daughter did not only learn drawing skills and techniques, but also learned to put passion and good efforts in each piece of her art work. Among many many award winning students of the school, my daughter also won 1st place of drawing contest held by Oregon Humane Society for two connective years.
Both my daughter and son are taking Art Classes with Mimi for many years. Mimi is not only an good artist but also a excellent and patient teacher with kids. They really love it and looking forward to taking the art classes in the newly opened location.
This place is amazing…most important my kids love it! Secondly they are very accommodating and I know my kids are in good hands!
My kid has been learning from Mrs Mimi for around 2 years. She teaches kids the skills with interactive, also opens communication with parents. When my kid selected the pictures for annual art show, she, herself , knew the latest is better. We can see big improvement on the pictures these 2 years, thanks Mrs Mimi's patience and hard work!
Our kids have been going to Art World School for quite a few years and are very happy with the experience. The director is helpful, skilled, and organized and we have appreciated all that our kids have gained from going to the school. Our kids say the best thing about the school is that it's not only a fun place, but a place where they learn specific techniques and actually improve their art.

Check our Oregon's art contests winners. 90% of the time, it's someone from this school. It's something to look forwards to every week, and I am incredibly lucky that I can learn here.

Both my kids 5 & 7 have been going to Ms. Mimi's art class for over a year now. She is an excellent teacher and awesome artist, loves to teach kids and have lots of patience to teach them art nuiances. We certainly see progress in our kids, they started with sketchig a line and can draw and paint beautiful piece of art now, Love it!!
Summer camp heaven! We were worried our daughter would be fatigued by the full day camp, but we were wrong! The camps are structured with designated art skills per hour. Each day, we’d pick up our daughter, she was bursting with excitement, as she showed us her art and told us about her fun-filled day. As the week progressed she’d say “and today was even more ‘gooder’ than yesterday!” She really found this place to be fulfilling and a happy place for her. Thank you to Mimi for always going out of her way to be accommodating, helpful, kind, flexible and supportive - Mimi’s mission is to make the experience easy & positive for parents and fun/skill-based for children. At the end of the day, Art World’s mission is to provide a positive art- filled experience for both parents and children, alike. We will continue to support this school and their camps!!
My daughter really enjoys these classes and loves bringing home new piece every week. We appreciate small groups and attention to every detail.
Mimi is very patient and have a way to teach little kids learning art. My daughter has been learning all different drawing styles with her for about 2 + years. She has changed from a little kid who was afraid of making bad drawings to a confident kid who can express her own ideas when telling stories. Her love of colors is intensified in water color and acrylic drawings. And most of all, drawing class becomes one of her favorite after school classes.
Mrs. Jiao and Mimi are both great art teachers! My daughter has been taking classes in their art school for 8 years. She started as a complete beginner and she is on more advanced level now. Mrs. Jiao tailored her classes suitable for her level all the time. Mrs. Jiao was also incredibly patient and extremely knowledgeable! I strongly recommend their art school.
My kids love the class, they leave really happy and excited. Handwriting has improved and there creativity to think outside the box has drastically improved. Very clean and sanitary and follows strict COVID protocols.
I studied art with Jiao Ying, the principal and art teacher of Art World, for around 11 years and my sister started doing art with Mimi for 3 years. They are both very patient and great art teachers. I was able to improve in my art skills greatly, and because them I have won many awards for art. I'm always happy to be in her art class. They teach a variety of art skills, by starting with building your art foundation and moving you up. I would highly recommend you to come learn art with the teachers.
I have been taking both of my daughters here for 10 years. My older daughter started when she was 5. Now she is 15 and still taking class with teacher Jiao. And my younger one also started to learn with teacher Yan when she was 5 years old. The teaching process moves my daughters through a series of basic art training that progressively increase in skill needed. The kids completed a certain number of drawings with different mediums (oil pastel, colored pencils, watercolors and acrylic) before moving on to the next level. They also learn to work on various types and sizes of surfaces from paper to canvas board. The instructors are amazing and the environment accepting, encouraging and fun, but at the same time controlled. My kids feel so accepted and comfortable there. They love the classes and teachers very much.
My two daughters have been studying drawing with Mimi for almost one year. They like to go to Mimi's studio on Saturdays and often talk about their arts at home. Mimi is very professional and good at inspiring kids. She knows when and how to teach kids drawing skills so that they can have a solid foundation to create more fun and enjoyable arts.
My daughter says: Ms. Mimi is a great art teacher and helps me a lot by letting me work freely, use different materials, and draw many fun things. She has good rules but isn’t overly strict and her classes are just the right length. She has taught me many cool techniques.

Started art class with Mimi since my daughter was 4, now almost 3 years she has been painting with Mimi. My daughter definitely enjoys this art class and is looking forward to sketching. I can see her progress with every piece of art work. Mimi takes time preparing class materials, and gives enough attention to each individuals at class. The best thing is that she is really a kind mentor that new techniques are being added gradually. This is a really good place if your kids are interested in art and want to develop as a hobby.
We love Art World School! We signed our daughter up for summer camp and she looks forward to it so much. We love that we can tailor the schedule to our needs each week and our daughter still gets an incredible art experience, learning new skills and techniques each time.

My daughter told me what drawing skills she learned in the class such as how to use watercolor to show different effects. I can feel her progress.

Great one-on-one or small group Chinese Mandarin class options. I would recommend taking their After School program Chinese classes or Saturday Chinese classes.
Our 7 year old daughter is really enjoying the art classes at Mimi's Art World school. She has taken a mix of in-person and online classes and have enjoyed both the formats. Mimi's is very professional and attentive to the needs of budding artists at different skill levels. She makes the class interesting for the kids. In addition, we also had a small birthday party for our daughter here with 5 other kids. All the kids really enjoyed the fun art activity that mimi had organized. I would highly recommend the place and urge anyone interested to try out the free art class offered here.
