We are thrilled to announce that one of our talented students, Shreya Sriram, has won a spot in the Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation’s 2024-2025 School Year Calendar! This is a prestigious honor, as the calendar is distributed to schools across Oregon.

The Contest

This year, over 1,400 students participated in the Art Contest held by the Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation. The challenge was to create artwork showcasing Oregon’s agricultural diversity. Out of the numerous entries, only thirteen winners were chosen to be featured in the calendar. We are incredibly proud that Shreya’s artwork made the cut!

Shreya’s Journey

Shreya has been a dedicated student at Art World School for two years. She participates in our After School Program, Summer Camps, and Fine Art Program. Over this time, she has shown great dedication to improving her skills in drawing, painting, and sculpting.

Winning Artwork

For the calendar contest, Shreya submitted a beautiful tempera painting depicting a picnic at one of Oregon’s cherry orchards. Her spirited Acrylic on Bristol piece also won her a spot in the calendar. This is not her first accolade this year; she also won an award for her acrylic piece in the annual Fish Art Contest organized by Wildlife Forever.

Art World School’s Role

At Art World School, we encourage creativity and skill development. We explained the contest guidelines and shared examples of previous entries with all our students. Shreya’s success is a testament to the support and inspiration she received through our programs.
