Ever since we moved to our new and improved West Union Village location in March, we’ve been working to expand our offerings in our Fine Art, 3D Art, and After School Programs. In the time since our Open House, we’ve worked on expanding our Clay Classes to Saturdays, offering additional Fine Art classes, and introducing Special Event classes on Fridays. Now, we’re looking to add to our After School Program. So, it’s with great pleasure that we announce the start of our Kids Club After School Program!
We recognize that some parents aren’t necessarily looking for a structured/formal art education for their child, and just want a place for them to be with artistically minded kids for a few hours after school. To cater to these students, starting in April of 2024, we’ll be offering the Kids Club as an After School Program option from 3:30-6:30 on weekdays.
The Kids Club will be an After School Program that replaces the typical three-class structure of our After School Program with flexibility and loosely guided activities. The Kids Club attendees will be able to rotate between stations at their own discretion, getting help and supervision from Art World School Teachers and Teaching Assistants. Stations may include but are not limited to:
- Core Subject Area Tutoring (Reading, Writing, Math) or homework help
- Drawing and painting on paper (students draw on their own with materials provided)
- A selection of Arts & Craft Materials for Origami, weaving, modeling clay, scratchboard, quilling, and more
The Kids Club After School program still offers School Pick-Up from nearby schools and is open for all ages, while also offering a more affordable price point than our structured After School Program. It also offers a more flexible cancellation policy, offering the ability to cancel within 24 Hours of your scheduled day of attendance. It’s a great place for students to experiment with a variety of materials that they may not have access to at home, get general advice on their art practice, and relax after school. It also gives students the opportunity to talk and get advice from adults with a background in art, allowing them to bring artwork from home (both physical and digital) for help and feedback. The Kids Club After School program is the perfect program for students who are interested in art but not in a formal class, as well as for cost-minded parents looking for affordable and consistent After School Pickup and Care options. We’ve already rolled out the enrollment and info pages on our website, and are excited to see the response!
