Earlier this year, our students took part in the Mangrove Action Project’s annual art contest. The contest aims to inspire young people to appreciate the importance of Mangrove Trees and Ecosystems. To prepare, we worked hard with our students to research mangroves, create original art, and refine their pieces to make them as great as possible.
This year, the contest received 350 entries from 34 countries, featuring participants aged 7 to 16. Out of all the submissions, 13 pieces were awarded prizes, and 80 were chosen to be showcased. We are excited to announce that several of our talented students were selected for the showcase!
Rajanya Paul
Rajanya worked tirelessly in our 90-minute group classes to capture her vision of a kaleidoscopic mangrove forest. Using Acrylic Paint Markers, her strong artistic style shines through in her piece, making it no wonder she was chosen to be showcased!
Melisa Aslan
Melisa put in a lot of effort in our Fine Art Program to create an impressive artwork. With guidance from our teachers in 90-minute group classes and 45-minute one-on-one sessions, she carefully crafted a detailed Acrylic Paint Marker piece showcasing the common animals found in mangrove ecosystems.
A Special Recognition for Samyuktha Injeti
We are particularly excited to announce the only selected award-winner from the United States: Samyuktha Injeti! In this globe-spanning contest, Samyuktha took home an award for her Acrylic Paint Marker piece depicting the cohabitation of humans and mangrove ecosystems. Featuring a vibrant sunset and beautifully stylized foreground, her hard work in our Fine Art Program truly shines.
Congratulations to Our Talented Artists!
We are incredibly proud of all the students from Art World School who participated this year. The dedication and hard work displayed in each contest submission are commendable.
A special congratulations to Rajanya, Melisa, and Samyuktha! We can’t wait to see what you create next!
