A Day at our Art Spring Break Camp

Each day at the camp is thoughtfully planned to give students a variety of artistic experiences while keeping them engaged and excited. Here’s what a typical day looks like:

Morning Activities

  • 8:00 AM – 8:45 AM: Before Care Available – Parents who need an early drop-off option can take advantage of this additional service.
  • 8:45 AM – 9:00 AM: Arrival Time – Students check in, meet their teachers, and get ready for an exciting day of creativity.
  • 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Fine Art Class: Drawing & Painting – This class allows kids to refine their drawing and painting skills using different techniques and mediums.
  • 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Clay Class – Hands-on sculpting activities introduce students to the art of working with clay, where they create their own unique sculptures.

Midday Break

  • 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM: Lunch Time – Students bring their own lunch and enjoy a relaxed meal with their peers.
  • 12:15 PM – 1:15 PM: Choice of Activity – Students select from Yoga, STEM, or Outdoor Play at Somerset West Playground (weather permitting). This time allows for movement, exploration, and creative stimulation beyond traditional art classes.

Afternoon Activities

  • 2:00 PM – 3:15 PM: Art & Calligraphy Class – A combination of artistic expression and decorative lettering, helping students develop fine motor skills and artistic flair.
  • 3:30 PM – 4:45 PM: Arts & Crafts/3D Art – A mix of hands-on crafting and three-dimensional art projects gives kids an opportunity to experiment with different materials and textures.
  • 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Studio Art – Students choose their own drawing or painting project and receive individualized guidance from instructors. Older students (ages 7 and up) can also explore digital art techniques.
  • 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Pick-Up Time – Parents collect their young artists, who are sure to leave with colorful masterpieces and new skills.

Each day at camp is filled with creativity, fun, and learning. By the end of the week, kids will take home their artwork and great memories!
