On February 9, 2026, Wildlife Forever announced the winners of the 2025 Songbird Art Contest. Once again, several Art World School students earned top placements. They created their winning entries during Art World School art classes. Shreya Sriram won first place in the K–3rd grade category. Charlotte Kuo won second place in the K–3rd grade category. Archer Li won first place in the 4–6th grade category. Melisa Aslan won second place in the 4–6th grade category.
More than 3,500 students from 36 countries and 43 U.S. states submitted artwork for the 2025 Songbird Art Contest. This made 2025 the largest year of participation in the contest’s history. Students chose one of five bird species: Black-and-White Warbler, Pinyon Jay, Purple Finch, Varied Bunting, or White-breasted Nuthatch. Each student submitted an original artwork in a fine art medium of their choice. They also wrote a piece inspired by their selected bird.
Every year, Art World School students participate in contests like the Songbird Art Contest with guidance from their teachers and Director Mimi Yan. The teachers help students research their chosen birds. They also guide students in selecting the right medium and developing strong compositions. Students focus on quality rather than speed. They aim to create artwork they feel proud to include in their portfolios. The goal is not only to win awards but also to grow as artists. Through detailed instruction and personal guidance, students improve their technical and creative skills. By supporting each student through the entire process, Art World School continues to uphold its mission: “Be inspired, learn lifelong skills, create something new.”
