On the afternoon of October 19, 2025, Art World School held its annual Student Art Show at the Portland Art Museum. This year’s show was extra special because it featured more than 50 students— the largest group ever! These students proudly shared their best art pieces from the past year with their families, friends, and museum visitors. It was a wonderful celebration of creativity and hard work.

A Year of Success
This year, Art World School students achieved more than ever before. Over 50 students won art awards in state and international competitions. The school’s growth in success can be attributed to its dedicated students, the time spent on longer art projects, and the experience of the teachers who guide students through the creative process.
At Art World School, the focus is not just on winning awards. It’s about helping students create art that they are proud of. Students are encouraged to take their time, complete their projects, and improve their skills along the way. The school believes in quality over speed, which allows students to develop their skills with personalized attention and guidance from their teachers.
Honoring Every Student
As part of the celebration, each student who participated in the art show received a signed certificate from the chief curator of the Portland Art Museum. The event also included a special award ceremony where Art World School’s director, Mimi Yan, talked about each student’s progress and achievements. Some of the students had also won new awards, which were announced during the ceremony.
At the ceremony, students had a chance to speak about their growth as artists and share their love for creating art. It was a proud moment for everyone, as the students were recognized not only for their talent but also for their hard work and dedication.
New Programs and Teachers
This year’s art show also marked the introduction of new teachers and classes at Art World School. In addition to the Fine Art and Digital Art Programs, the school is now offering Pottery, Stop Motion Animation, and Theatre classes. These new programs will give students even more ways to explore their creativity and learn new skills.
The teachers also took part in the event by showcasing their own art. They displayed oil paintings, acrylic works, pottery, and digital art. By showing their personal creations, the teachers hoped to inspire the students and show them what’s possible when they put their art skills into practice.
Looking Forward to the Future
As the 2025 Student Art Show came to a close, everyone at Art World School is excited for the upcoming year. The school continues to focus on providing the best education and support for its students, helping them grow as artists. With its strong programs and dedicated teachers, Art World School is ready to continue inspiring students and helping them achieve their creative goals.
The 2025 Art Show was a great success, and we can’t wait to see what the next year brings for the students at Art World School!
