Our Story
Established in 1997, Art World School in NW Portland was founded by Pacific Northwest artists and later expanded by art professional Mimi Yan. Offering a range of programs for all ages, it emphasizes fundamental skills in drawing, painting, and more. With small class sizes and personalized instruction, students receive individual attention and feedback. The school also provides transportation for its after-school program, serving nearby elementary schools.
Art World School’s students have achieved success in various art competitions, including Doodle for Google and the Federal Junior Duck Stamp competition. They regularly participate in exhibitions, including an annual showcase at the Portland Art Museum. Media coverage in outlets like the Oregonian highlights the school’s impact on the community.
Focused on nurturing artistic talent and fostering a supportive learning environment, Art World School continues to inspire creativity and artistic excellence in Portland and beyond.
