- Over 1000 pieces have been awarded since 2001, here are just a few highlights:
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners in all age groups every year from the Cray-Pas “Wonderful, Colorful Contest” since 2008
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners from the “Federal Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest” every year since 2006
- 2nd place, “Drawing the Line on Gun Violence” National Poster Contest 2002
- Numerous student works collected by World Children Art Museum since 2002
- Publications in the Oregonian, Unicef advertising material
- Art work from Jiao Ying School are well accepted by local arts galleries, including arts Gallery of Portland State University and Gottlieb Gallery
- In addition, students from dancing and martial arts classes are frequently involved and invited to perform in local events
- Years of effort has made Jiao Ying Chinese Culture and Art School a well-known culture entity in the Portland area. Children of many families learn their first Chinese character from the school.
